Disaster Survival Training
American Rescue Team International
Mayor, City of Desert Hot Springs

Jointly Hosted from People's Republic of China

Mr. Li Yong, Director
China Social Assistance Foundation Daaianmin Rescue Fund
Beijing, China
On May 6, 2014, at the City Council meeting for City of Desert Hot Springs, Mayor Adam Sanchez, Sr. presented to Mr. Li a written Proclamation and Key to the City of Desert Hot Springs. They were given in recognition of his agency's efforts to save lives and reduce suffering from natural disasters and to acknowledge the future collaboration between the People's Republic of China and the City of Desert Hot Springs in furthering friendship and cooperation between sovereign nations. A pin upon which was written "Sunnylands" was also presented to Mr. Li, a small special gift which was a memento from the visit of Mr. Li's president with President Barack Obama.

Also on that date a Proclamation and Key to the City were presented to Mr. Doug Copp, Founder and Rescue Chief of the American Rescue Team International, in acknowledgment of his discovery of the Triangle of Life method for surviving an earthquake (known as "survivable void" by firefighters). Being a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization based in California, ARTI has sent team members worldwide since 1985 to natural and human made disasters, saving hundreds of thousands of lives.

Ms. Camelot, owner of Disaster Survival Training, has been a Training Specialist in the Triangle of Life technique for ARTI since 1999 and introduced the Mayor to Mr. Copp when he arrived in March.  Future collaborations are expected upon the upcoming visit of a larger delegation from the People's Republic of China by summer's end.

We Welcomed Them to
Our Sunny Desert Land

For fifteen years Disaster Survival Training has been a leader in training people to be ready to handle disasters, whether natural or human made.  Many were worried about the Mayan calendar and the winter solstice date of December 21, 2012 as well as Planet X (also known as Nibiru or the Great Destroyer). It seems we escaped direct harm from the Mayan calendar doomsayers yet disasters continue to increase on the planet such as sinkholes appearing in a number of states and countries worldwide. As time passes, it is even more imperative to become knowledgeable on how to become self-sufficient and adaptable.

Being disaster ready is a combination of a state of mind and health as well as having the resources, supplies and necessary skills developed through competent training. Our training classes can be your best “insurance” against calamity that may strike your family, employees and neighborhood.  Written evaluation comments about our intensive four hour class are listed below. Call us now to discuss your training needs at (760) 409-6350.

"Exciting -- fresh -- full of useful information beyond what you would think.  Insights on life and death situations.  Phenomenal class!"

Generally we assume that if our home is disaster ready then we are prepared. However, when you consider that almost half of our day is spent at our job, it becomes apparent that we need to be prepared at our work site as well as in our homes. We are pleased to offer Disaster Survival Training programs tailored for both large and small businesses in both the public and private sector. Contact us for details on how we can help you and your employees respond to and survive a disaster.

When a disaster strikes your survival depends upon:
1. Your state of mind and health when disaster strikes.
2. Personal preparedness at home, office and in your car.
3. Your training such as first aid, CPR, fire suppression, and search and rescue.
4. Awareness of climate, political, economic and sociological conditions.
5. Your connectedness to family members, neighbors and co-workers.
6. The readiness levels of your city and county to respond to disasters.
